The Full Monty is an upbeat, heartwarming and hilarious musical comedy about six unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York who come up with a bold way to make some quick cash. In the process they find the ability to have fun, renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the individual courage to face their demons.

As the guys work through their fears, self-consciousness, feelings of worthlessness and anxieties (over everything from being overweight to child custody, bigotry to being gay), they come to discover that not only are they stronger as a group, but that the strength they find in each other gives them the individual courage to face their demons and overcome them.

There is great heart to THE FULL MONTY, and the ultimate themes expressed in the show, about taking charge of one's life and following one's dreams are great lessons for all of us.

	Dustin Leonard (Director / Managing Director) is one of the founders of Hooked On Theater, and has directed, produced and starred in a number of shows in the Monterey Bay area. Dustin most recently directed Beautiful Thing for MBR Theatre, Little Shop of Horrors & West Side Story for Cabrillo Stage. Dustin's diverse directing credits include The Laramie Project, Lord of the Flies, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Outsiders and Romeo & Juliet. A versatile performer, Dustin has been in shows as diverse as Shakespeare's R&J to Guys & Dolls. His credits include both on and off stage at MBR Theatre, San Jose Repertory Theater, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and Cabrillo Stage. Dustin's most beloved performances on stage have been Mercutio in the return of the West Coast premiere of Shakespeare's R&J adapted by Joe Calarco, Jeff in The Sum of Us, Prez in The Pajama Game, Mark in Mass Appeal and the Barber in Cabrillo Stage's Man of La Mancha. Dustin has been an active promoter of Youth Theater in Santa Cruz for 15 years, and is the Managing Artistic Director for Hooked On Theater's summer youth workshop. His musical direction and scenic design credits include West Side Story, Honk, Annie, Crazy for You, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver and many more.
	Andrew Ceglio (Choreographer) is a native of San Jose and has found much joy and success working as a local artist in the bay area for the past nine years. Andrew made his directorial debut right here at Cabrillo Stage with the 2008 production of Forever Plaid. Shortly after, Andrew teamed up with the Tabard Theatre Company of San Jose, where he adapted and directed the classic tale by Antoine De Saint- Exupery, The Little Prince. More recently, Andrew was thrilled to be apart of Cabrillo Stage’s successful summer season where he directed and choreographed the musical comedy I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Cabrillo audiences may remember Andrew as The Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Seymour in Little Shop..., and Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar. Andrew is thrilled to be back and honored to be collaborating once again with the amazing team here at Cabrillo Stage. Andrew would like to thank his family and friends for the constant love and support, and he looks forward in continuing to bring the arts to theatre lovers everywhere, be it on stage or behind the scenes. 	Jon Nordgren (Producing Artistic Director / Music Director) is in his ninth season with Cabrillo Stage and fifth season as the Artistic Director. Since 2002, he has served as the Director of Bands at Cabrillo College. Jon is much sought after as a clinician, adjudicator, lecturer, and guest conductor at music festivals, conferences, and with honor and jazz bands throughout California. He has enjoyed a rewarding career as a freelance woodwind musician, conductor, and arranger including stints with the Santa Cruz Symphony, Princess Cruise Lines and for 13 years at Steve Silver¹s musical revue, Beach Blanket Babylon! He has performed in concert with The Chordettes, Manhattan Transfer, The Ink Spots, Smokey Robinson, the Temptations, Little Anthony, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Bobby Rydel, Joanne Castle, Julius LaRossa, Donald O’Connor, Jack Jones, Ringling Bros. & Barnum Bailey Circus, and many more. As music director his credits include scores of productions spanning over the past 35 years. Jon would like to thank his children—Cassie, Nick and Natalie, his brothers Scott, Ken and David for their inspired collaboration, and his daughter Sydney Linnea, for her unending support and enthusiasm. He would not be here if it weren’t for a couple of the greatest fans Cabrillo Stage has ever had, his parents, Ardean and Lucille.
	Elisa Olson (Assistant Production Manager) is excited to be returning to Cabrillo Stage where she spent most of her youth as the Production Manager and Production Stage Manager under Lile O. Cruse’s tutelage. She worked on such memorable productions as: "West Side Story", "Annie Get Your Gun", "Some Like It Hot!", "Honk! The Ugly Duckling", "Peter Pan", "Annie" and "Man of La Mancha". Since leaving in 2003 for New York City, Elisa has toured as the Production Stage Manager for the John F. Kennedy Center’s first national tour of “Willy Wonka”, “Menopause The Musical”, Cedar Lake Ensemble’s “Eternal Search and “Sarah Plain and Tall”. She has worked as a Stage Manager for Theatreworks, Center Repertory, Theatre On San Pedro Square, and Monday Morning Productions in New York City. She most recently was the Production Manager for Peninsula Youth Theatre. Elisa has worked on hundreds of productions around the country but takes great pride in coming back to Cabrillo Stage to work with her “family”.
	William “Skip” Epperson (Scenic Design) has been teaching theatrical design and backstage theatre for the past 17 years at Cabrillo College and currently serves as the Theatre Arts Program Chair. Holding a MFA from the Virginia Commonwealth University, he has had the opportunity to collaborate with many talented directors, designers, and technicians across the country, and has had many artists appear on his designs as actors, singers, and dancers. His work has who’s who - PRODUCTION STAFF Cabrillo Stage • Winter 2009 27 appeared on the stages of many theaters and venues including Cabrillo Theatre Arts, Henry Street Playhouse, Washington and Lee University Theater, Santa Cruz Actors Theater, Santa Cruz Bible Church, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and Cabrillo Stage. Skip is the proud recipient of a 2008 Rydell Visual Arts Fellowship. Together with his beautiful bride of 24 years, Mary Jo, his most precious productions have been his four children–Sara, Zack, Anna-Katherine, and Genevieve–ages 21 to 4.
	Kyle Grant (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to be back in Santa Cruz and with Cabrillo Stage once again. For Cabrillo he has previously designed The Fantasticks! and Little Shop of Horrors. Kyle is currently pursuing his BFA in Lighting Design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he has recently designed ‘Master Harold’…and the Boys, Fences (for the renowned Ms. Michele Shay) and Picnic. Other bay area theatrical credits include PYT, CMT and MBRT. Kyle is also designing a new work for the international choreographer and Kennedy Center fellow, Mollye Maxner, to premiere in Brooklyn, NY in 2010.
	Maria Crush (Costume Design) has been working with Cabrillo Stage since 1988 and designed such shows as The Wizard of Oz, Annie Get Your Gun, Man of La Mancha, Funny Girl, The Sound of Music, Oliver, The King & I, Peter Pan, Honk, Some Like It Hot, West Side Story and The Music Man. She has designed costumes for West Bay Opera, New Music Works and Cabrillo College Productions including Much Ado About Nothing, Three Penny Opera, A Man For All Seasons, Rashomon, School for Scandal, The Visit, Twelfth Night, The Magic Flute, Oedipus Rex, The Importance of Being Earnest and Seussical. Other Credits include Bernstein’s Mass and The Tender Land with the Cabrillo Music Festival. Additionally she has designed for the Actors’ Theater. She is the costume shop manager at Cabrillo College, won the Gail Rich Award in 2007 and was nominated in 2009 for a Rydell Visual Arts Fellowship.
	Skyler Kirby (Sound Design) has been with Cabrillo Stage for five years now. At age 20 he started his music label Supply & Demand Entertainment. His first album released was “Death or Success” by the artist Sleyv. As a student of James Durland, Skyler has excelled in the music department at Cabrillo, from live sound to studio recording, from rap to jazz; he’s been around it all behind the mixing board, and is looking forward to continuing in the music recording business after college.
	Marcel Tjioe (Resident Technical Director) has been working for Cabrillo Stage for the last four years. He has had a great time crucifying Jesus, hanging Judas, melting the Wicked Witch, killing all The Plaids and scaring the dickens out of Scrooge. Some of the other local companies Marcel has worked for include American Musical Theatre of San Jose, San Jose Repertory Theatre, and TheatreWorks in Palo Alto. He has also worked internationally in Germany (Capitol Theater in Düsseldorf) and Austria (Seefestspiele Mörbisch). Marcel was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He is a German citizen and he lives in Santa Cruz with his beautiful wife Myriam and 6 year old daughter Sofia. He is the Performing Arts Technician for Cabrillo College.

	Kyle Payne (Jerry Lukowski) is very happy to be at Cabrillo Stage for the first time. Recently he played Big Anthony on the national tour of Strega Nona, and this fall will originate the role of Arnold in Magic School Bus: Climate Challenge. Around the Bay he has acted for TheatreWorks, 42nd Street Moon, Hapgood Theatre, California Theatre Center, Golden State Theatre Productions, Berkeley Playhouse and the Zeum Theatre. He is featured on the original cast recording of Oh My Godmother! (available on itunes), was on the first American children’s theatre tour to China, and has performed in England, Russia and on many national tours. He has a BA in theatre from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
	Kevin High (Dave Bukatinsky) is thrilled to be back home in Santa Cruz baring his soul with the talented team at Cabrillo. Kevin is reprising the role of Dave, having previously let it go at the Village Theatre and Repertory East. Kevin just wrapped the West Coast Premier of Tennessee Williams’ A House Not Meant to Stand at the Fountain Theatre in LA with Sandy Martin and Lisa Richards. Favorite LA theatrical turns: portraying Samuel Goldwyn in The Cuban and the Redhead with Jim J. Bullock, Leslie Easterbrook and Jai Rodriguez; playing Uncle Pumblechook/Wemmick in Great Expectations: The Musical with Ellen Crawford; and a stint in drag in a gender bent version of As You Like It. Other favorite performances: Mitch in A Streetcar Named Desire (MCT), Uncle Henry in The Wizard of Oz (AMTSJ), LeFou in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Pac Rep), Saul in True West (Pear Ave), The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Paint Your Wagon (both at Sierra Rep) and Santa in Christmas Dreamland (AMTSJ). 	Dan Housek (Malcolm Macgregor) is thrilled to be reuniting with Dusting Leonard and Cabrillo Stage, where, once upon a time, he earned his first paycheck playing Chinaman the Pirate in Peter Pan as a 16 year old! Dan has most recently been seen performing in New York City in various cabarets, readings and workshops and couldn’t be happier to return home for the summer to play Malcolm. A proud member of Actors Equity and a graduate of The Boston Conservatory, Dan would like to thank his amazing friends, incredible family and his favorite person, CBH, for their love and support. Favorite roles, Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret, Sideway in Our Country’s Good, Raleigh (U/S) in The Flood, Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rochester in Jane Eyre.
	Darin Dailey (Harold Nichols) is relatively new to the local theater community. This is Darin’s third season at Cabrillo Stage, where he has performed as Uncle Henry/Emerald City Guard in The Wizard Of Oz and as Max/Ensemble in Cabaret. Other local roles include The Mysterious Man in Into The Woods at S.V.P.A.A. and Inspector Lord in Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web at The Market St. Theater. He received a B.F.A. in theater performance from VA Commonwealth University and “paid his dues” with four years of summerstock apprenticeships at The Lakewood Theater in Skowhegan, ME. and The Barn Theater in Augusta, MI. Favorite roles over the years have been: Curly/Oklahoma, Sir Harry/Once upon a Mattress, Richard/The Ladies not for Burning, Hennesey/Biloxi Blues, Ciccio/The Most Happy Fella, Derma/LaCage Aux Folles, and Shem/Two By Two. Other credits include West Side Story, South Pacific, Sugar Babies, 42nd Street, Chicago, Suzanna and Brigadoon. He is very happy to be working with the wonderful people at Cabrillo Stage again this year!
	Jarrod Washington (Noah “Horse” T. Simmons) is so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful production. He has been doing musical theatre in the bay area since he was 8 years old. Now, he’s 26 and still going strong. This will be Jarrod’s sixth production in a row here at Cabrillo stage and he’s having the time of his life! His most recent roles here at Cabrillo Stage include: Tom Jenkins in Scrooge, Lead Male Vocalist in Swing!, The Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. When he’s not performing, Jarrod works as a Fire and Water Restoration Expert for Servpro of Campbell. He would like to express his neverending gratitude to Cabrillo Stage and its most amazing Staff for allowing him to be a part of this illustrious company. He would also like to thank his family, friends, and beautiful girlfriend Robin, for all of their love and wonderful support.
	Andrew Willis-Woodward (Ethan Girard) is delighted to return to Cabrillo Stage, having last appeared as Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me Kate several summers ago. Other recent Bay Area credits include: Baby (Danny, SFBATCC Award) at Ray of Light Theatre, Jubilee (Prince James) and Ben Franklin in Paris (Temple Franklin, SFBATCC Nomination) at 42nd Street Moon, and Forever Plaid (Francis) at Willows Theatre Company. Andrew is currently studying musical theater at CAP21’s 2-Year Professional Program in New York.
	Nick Bilardello (Minister/Dance Instructor/Marty Ensemble) has been acting for over 30 years in Santa Cruz. He has appeared in Cabrillo College productions of Kind Lady, Our Town, The Crucible, Marat/Sade, Noises Off, Twelfth Night, Oedipus Rex and The Grapes of Wrath. At the Actors’ Theatre he has been in the 8 Tens @ Eight, Laughter on the 23rd Floor and Cat’s Paw. He has also performed with Shakespeare Santa Cruz in The Marriage of Figaro, Much Ado about Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Kean, As You Like It, King Lear, She Stoops to Conquer, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Julius Caesar, and in the SSC Holiday Show, Sleeping Beauty. Additionally, he has appeared at The Broadway Playhouse in productions of ART and A Number. This is his first appearance at Cabrillo Stage. Thank you, Dustin.
	Robin DiCello (Georgie Bukatinsky) is extremely proud to be a part of this production of The Full Monty. Her theater credits include Scrooge, The Musical (Mrs. Cratchit and Mrs. Fezziwig) with Cabrillo Stage, Into the Woods (Lucinda) with Scotts Valley Performing Arts, Cabaret (Frenchy, Ensemble) with Cuesta College Performing Arts and Cabrillo Stage. Ms. DiCello received the gypsy robe for Cabrillo Stage’s production of Cabaret in 2010. She is a recent graduate of The University of California Santa Cruz earning a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Theater Arts. She wholeheartedly thanks Jon Nordgren for welcoming her back and sends love to her family and Jarrod for their unconditional love, unwavering support, and constant encouragement.
	Robert Folker (Reg) is relatively new to theater, if one discounts the role of mustache-twirling villain in a gradeschool melodrama. His first adult role was Herman in Cabrillo College’s recent production of Sweet Charity. When not acting, Robert takes the stage as a baritone in Gold Standard, the Santa Cruz barbershop chorus. He also sings in The Long & Short of It, a barbershop quartet.
	Josiah Frampton (Teddy Slaughter/Tony Giordano/ Second Stripper/Ensemble) performs for The Theatre of All Possibilities where he is an assembly presenter (directing the children and performing in elementary school assembly shows). He has also worked with Cabrillo Stage in past productions including Cabaret (Ernst) and Wizard of Oz (ensemble). He has worked with Scotts Valley Performing Arts in Into the Woods (Steward) and Tabard Theatre in See How They Run (Clive) and Follies (Young Ben). Josiah has also worked as a director for All About Theatre on Fame the Musical and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.
	Darwin Garrett (Nathan Lukowski) is humbled and thrilled to be making his Cabrillo Stage debut. He enjoys performing in all kinds of theatre: musicals, Shakespeare and straight plays. Past favorite shows/roles have been: You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown), Seussical (General Schmitz), Once on This Island (Ton Ton), AristoCats (Thomas O’Malley) with All About Theatre; A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bottom), Much Ado About Nothing (Claudio), Merchant of Venice (Lancelot/Suitors) with Scotts Valley Performing Arts Youth Shakespeare and Oliver! (Artful Dodger), and A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim) with SV Ballet and Arts. Darwin is a freshman at Georgiana Bruce Kirby School. There he did You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Linus) and Eat (Joey/wrestler). He also enjoys singing in Kirby’s choral program. Darwin would like to thank Lindsey Chester for her love and encouragement to audition for this show, Brad Roades for his generous coaching tips, his parents for their unwavering support and last but not least, he’d like to thank the audience, without whom there wouldn’t be a show. He sincerely hopes you enjoy it.
	Jenine Giusto (Joanie Lish) is overjoyed to make her Cabrillo Stage debut alongside a talented and inspiring cast. Going into her fourth and final year at San Jose State University, Jenine is pursuing a specialized Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. On campus, she is a proud member of Company One (musical theatre troupe directed by Janie Scott), Resident Artist of TRFT Independent (the theatre department’s student-run production company) and Graphic Designer of the Film Production Society! Off campus, Jenine has most recently been seen at City Lights Theater Company in Compleat Female Stage Beauty (Miss Frayne) and Shady Shakespeare Theatre Company’s summer production of The Merchant of Venice (Jessica). An actress by trade, she enjoys the training she is receiving in ballet and photography; though a novice in both, the teachers she has are of the utmost encouragement. Jenine hopes to continue pursuing her newfound passion for these fulfilling forms of art, as well as her love for the theatre.
	Alice Hughes (Vicki Nichols) has been performing, teaching voice, conducting musicals, and choirs in the Santa Cruz area since 1981. Santa Cruz audiences will remember her onstage performances at Cabrillo Stage as Foster Wilson in Annie Get Your Gun and as the Baker’s Wife in Into The Woods. She has also performed locally in A My Name Is Alice (Actor’s Theatre), Bread! The Musical (Ortiz Productions), My Fair Lady (Cabrillo Stage), and The King And I (Cabrillo Stage.) She was Musical Director for the Shakespeare Santa Cruz winter productions of The Princess And The Pea and Wind In The Willows. She has worked for Cabrillo Stage as vocal director and performer. Other recent musical directing credits include: Honk! (Scotts Valley Performing Arts), How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (PCS), CATS (PCS), and Les Miserables (PCS). She is the Choral Director and Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair at Pacific Collegiate School (PCS). Ms. Hughes is the co-producer and director on six compact disc recordings.
	Eleanor Hunter (Estelle Genovese) is thrilled to be back at Cabrillo Stage for her seventh show. It all began back in 2004 when she played Maud Dunlop in The Music Man. Since then she has been in the ensembles of Kiss Me Kate (also understudy for Kate), The Wizard of Oz and Cabaret. She took on the role of the Sour Kangaroo in Cabrillo Colleges production of Suessical the Musical. She was one of five singers in the musical Swing! and played Florinda in the SVPAA production of Into the Woods. Recently she Cabrillo Stage • Summer 2011 15 undertook a role traditionally played by a man,The Spirit of Christmas Present in Scrooge the Musical. Following the holidays she reprised her British accent to play Miss Peake in Agatha Christie’s Spiders Web. This summer will be fun and freeing and will showcase exciting new additions to the Cabrillo Stage family!
	Claire Hodgin (Jeanette Burmeister) has onstage experience that covers a lot of years. She began studying voice at age 14, aiming to sing opera. However, graduation from UCSB and marrying the man of her dreams changed all that. Continuing to study voice, sing and act, her roles have ranged from Lucretia in Benjamin Britain’s The Rape of Lucretia, to Dolly and Mame. Life was kept interesting in-between with four babies, oratorios, chorales, reviews, and cabarets, off and on stage, lots of non-singing roles, and accepting a few talented individuals as voice students.. She had the pleasure of performing in such diverse locations as Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bogota, Colombia, New York City, Toledo, Ohio, Walnut Creek, CA.—and it all began in her home town of Pasadena, CA. Her last venture with Cabrillo Stage was as Yente in Fiddler on the Roof.
	Josh Saleh (Buddy “Keno” Walsh) has been acting since he was a child in front of his mirror. He has spent the past three years acting and dancing at UC Santa Cruz where he is working toward a major in Theater Arts. Notable college performances include Menelaus (Orestes Terrorists), Cosme Bravo (Mummified Deer), God who Judges (Almost an Evening), and Biff (Death of a Salesman). Josh grew up in Lafayette, California, where he first appeared onstage in Jackie-O-and the Beanstalk. This show marks Josh’s first Cabrillo Stage and professional production. He is so happy to get this opportunity and hopes it will not be his last.
	Jessica Payne (Pam Lukowski) is excited to be joining Cabrillo Stage for the first time in The Full Monty. Most recently, she was on the national tour of Strega Nona, the Musical. In the Bay Area, she has been seen in The Great American Trailer Park Musical at the Willows, 42nd Street Moon’s Girl Crazy and the SF premieres of Chaos Rules, SF Follies, and Oh My Godmother! Jessica and her handsome actor-husband Kyle toured the West Coast and China with the California Theatre Center. Jessica originally hails from western Pennsylvania, and has her MFA in Acting from Western Illinois University. For her next adventure she will be originating the role of Ms. Frizzle on the national tour of the Magic School Bus: Climate Challenge. Online at www.iamjessicapayne.com.
	Vanessa Vazquez (Susan Hershey) is honored to debut in The Full Monty at Cabrillo Stage. But don’t worry, she has said this before about other productions including Seussical the Musical! (The Cat in the Hat), Bat Boy (Shelley Parker), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Smitty), Lucky Stiff (Domenique DuMonico), You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Snoopy), Sweeney Todd (The Beggar Woman) and many more plays. If you are now wondering which plays exactly, here they are: 1984, Let Us Go Out Into The Starry Night, Holy Ghosts, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, etc. She is currently a Theatre Arts major at UC Santa Cruz where she is lovingly devoted to improving with her improvisational team, Humor Force Five. She was eleven when she started doing musical theatre and is now twenty-two years of age. Musicals are good things, so enjoy it!
