BOX OFFICE STAFF::

F/T & P/T – Temp. Phone, counter, data entry, customer service. $10- $11/hr. DEO. Box Office experience preferred but it is not required, we will train. November 23rd 2010 through as late as January 3rd 2011.
ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS:

Intern Program
About The Intern Program:
The Work-Experience Program at Cabrillo Stage offers theatre students and pre-professionals the chance to join the production staff in a work-experience-based program. In our program you can receive college credit with hands-on experience.Our interns put their skills learned in the classroom to use, working on a professional production, side-by-side with mentors and production staff members.

Internships are available in Production and Administrative departments. Members of the Cabrillo Stage production staff provide individual mentoring and training needed for the tasks at hand. Interns can receive written evaluations and/or recommendations, which can provide professional experience for a resume.

Eligibility & Compensation
Our program is intended for applicants of college age or older. Exceptional high school students will also be considered. We will expect professional work habits and a high level of commitment and responsibility from our interns. Students, recent graduates and career-changers with experience and enthusiasm should apply. Reimbursements for local transportation expenses are available for some production interns. We do not offer housing.

Dates & Times
Interns have variable days and hours depending on there involvement with the production. Here are a some general times that Interns work depending on the department in which they are working:

 

  • Scenic & Paint Shop
Variable from Mondays - Fridays from 8am-5pm
 
  • Administrative Assistant
Variable from Mondays - Fridays from 8am-5pm
 
  • Production Crew
Variable from Wednesdays - Fridays from 5pm-11pm & Saturdays - Sundays from 1pm-11pm depending on Production Show Schedule.

Ushering:
Cabrillo College Theater Management schedules Cabrillo Stage ushers for their summer production in the Cabrillo College Theaters. Leave a message on our usher voice-mail at 831-479-5083.

Behind the Scenes/Backstage
Backstage Crew positions such as deck crew, props runner, follow spot operators, dressers, etc., involve a nightly schedule for 6-7 weeks during the tech period and run of the show. Our staff will train new volunteers who show a commitment to the rigorous schedule. Honorariums may be possible.

Building:
Sets, costumes, properties, and scenic arts departments operate during regular business hours. Mondays-Fridays 9:00am-5:00pm, usually six weeks before the opening of the show. Training time will be needed; you must be available for an ongoing basis during these hours to volunteer in the shops.
