In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.
Rehearsal Dates: May 25 - July 10, 2024.
Rehearsal Times: Monday - Thursday 7pm-11pm,
Saturday 10am - 5pm, Sundays 1pm-5pm.
Performances: July 11 - August 4, 2024.
Cast Strike: August 4 from 5pm-9pm

Now accepting online auditions for the character of "Benny" for In the Heights. Benny is best friends with Usnavi, and in love with Nina, even though her father disapproves. Benny is a driver for Rosario's, who grew up a bit of a rough kid that Kevin took under his wing. Benny hopes to someday own his own car service. - African American

CABRILLO COLLEGE CLASS REQUIREMENT
Participation with Cabrillo Stage is in association with Cabrillo College. Registration into the 3 Unit Theater Arts 75 or Music 75 class is REQUIRED for most roles after casting is complete. Rehearsals and performances are the class. Cost of the class is the responsibility of the performer. Student Scholarships are provided to assist the cost of tuition & more.
