INTERN OPPORTUNITES
DATES & TIMES:
Interns have variable days and hours depending on their involvement with the production. Here are a some general times that student interns work depending on the department in which they are working:
Scenic & Paint Shop
Variable from Mondays - Thursdays from 8am-5pm
Administrative Assistant
Variable from Mondays - Thursdays from 8am-5pm
Production Crew
Variable from Wednesdays - Saturdays from 5:30pm-11pm & Sundays from 12:30pm-5pm, refer to production show schedule.
ABOUT THE INTERN PROGRAM
The Work-Experience Program at Cabrillo Stage offers theatre students and pre-professionals the chance to join the production staff in a work-experience-based program. In our program you can receive college credit with hands-on experience. Our students put their skills learned in the classroom to use, working on professional productions, side-by-side with mentors and production staff members. Student Interns are available in Production and Administrative departments. Members of the Cabrillo Stage production staff provide individual mentoring and training needed for the tasks at hand. Students can receive written evaluations and/or recommendations, which can provide professional experience for a resume as well as 3 to 6 college units.
ELIGIBILITY & COMPENSATION
Our program is intended for applicants of college age or older. Exceptional high school students will also be considered. We will expect professional work habits and a high level of commitment and responsibility from our student interns. Students, recent graduates and career-changers with experience and enthusiasm should apply. Scholarships are available for all student intern positions. We do not offer housing.
